EuroSys wins ICT framework contract for Flemish provincial schools

All educational institutions of the Flemish provinces can now turn to EuroSys for the purchase of their ICT for schools. As ICT specialist with a specific education department, YES.be, EuroSys won the framework contract for ICT services to provincial schools. The European framework contract is part of the 'Digisprong', the Flemish government's investment programme to accelerate the digitisation of education.

The agreement with the provincial schools is not YES.be's only recent success. Schools covered by the tender for Catholic education (DOKO) are now also allowed to place their orders with YES.be.

Flemish schools are intensifying their efforts to expand their ICT infrastructure. This trend is the logical consequence of the ever-increasing importance of digital applications in our society, but is now gaining momentum due to Digisprong, the Flemish government's investment programme. To support provincial schools in their ICT tasks, the government issued a European tender. ICT specialist EuroSys, with its specialised education department YES.be, managed to win this contract.

Much more than buying laptops

Building a solid ICT infrastructure involves much more than just buying laptops. Joeri Rubens, Sales and Marketing Manager at EuroSys: "The sheer number of pupils means that the ICT in many schools can best be compared to that of a large, international company. This often involves hundreds, sometimes even more than a thousand laptops. Then not only a good price for an excellent laptop is important, but also service and good and fast support for maintenance and repairs."

EuroSys' offer apparently offered the best combination of price, quality and service and won the framework contract for up to four years. All Flemish provincial schools can now call on EuroSys for the purchase of laptops, roll-out and support for the purchased devices.

Familiar with education, trained in business

Danny Verdonk, Manager YES.be: "With YES.be, we have built up specific knowledge and experience around the ICT needs of educational institutions. At the same time, we are also part of EuroSys, which is very much at home in the business world. This also means that we are used to large volumes and that we are focused on providing quick assistance. We therefore look forward to soon delivering thousands of laptops to schools from Voeren to Kortrijk and supporting them in their roll-out and support."

A trusted ICT partner for schools for many years, EuroSys set up a separate division tailored to educational institutions: YES.be. Through YES.be, EuroSys offers not only laptops, but also software, services and the YES Academy, a platform with training in digital knowledge and skills for teachers. The Academy helps teachers to be able to use digital resources more fluently, giving the digitalisation of education an extra push.

This press release was picked up by Made in Limburg, Computable and Digimedia.

"Through YES.be, EuroSys offers not only laptops, but also software, services and the YES Academy, a platform with training in digital knowledge and skills for teachers."
