VanRoey reopens Inspiration Center to guide companies in digitalisation
In our rapidly changing world, IT professionals need to constantly update their knowledge. Precisely for this reason, VanRoey (re)opens an inspiring hub with a focus on digital transformation and innovation. The Inspiration Center in Geel, located in the heart of the Kempen region, offers companies the chance to discover and experience the latest technological solutions. After a thorough renovation, VanRoey is ready to welcome organisations there and guide them in their digitalisation processes.
5 years of inspiration & innovation for businesses
VanRoey's location in Geel is not new. In 2019, the company opened an Experience Centre there, focusing on technologies such as Internet of Things (IoT), Virtual Reality (VR) and Artificial Intelligence (AI). However, the pandemic caused a delay, so companies could not take full advantage of it until 2021.
"Back then, companies were plenty busy adapting their processes to corona," says Marketing Manager Tom Hufkens. "Business leaders at that time were not concerned with innovative technologies like IoT, VR and AI. So we had to review our strategy in terms of the Experience Centre and focused on secure and efficient collaboration with Microsoft Teams as a common thread."
Experience Center vs Inspiration Center
Organisations are now familiar with collaboration platforms such as Teams, so VanRoey felt it was time for the next step. "The name Experience Centre sometimes evoked the wrong image," says Hufkens. "Visitors expected futuristic technologies, but ours is all about solutions that companies can already implement today. Customer stories and needs are central, with interactive demos that offer inspiration above all. Hence the name change to Inspiration Centre."
Microsoft technology as a common thread
To kick off the revamped centre, VanRoey is launching the concept 'IT Inspiration Days'. "We want to make Geel the place where organisations come together to talk and learn about technology," Tom Hufkens explains. "Technology is best when it brings people together does not adorn our walls as a motto for nothing."
Microsoft remains the common thread throughout the demo centre, with sessions this autumn on Copilot, Dynamics 365, SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams and the Power Platform. In addition, the Inspiration Centre also offers demos on optimising your data centre, achieving strong Wi-Fi coverage, AI-assisted camera security, cybersecurity, digital signage and a unique Retail Corner.
